Noarlunga City Obedience Club Inc was founded in early 1977. It took its name from the then City of Noarlunga, which would later become the City of Onkaparinga.
We are a small not-for-profit Incorporated Organisation run entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers who share a love of their dogs and a willingness to help others.
We have been fortunate to have been able to establish our club on the grounds of the Pimpala Primary School, Vanstone Avenue, Morphett Vale and over many years have been able to maintain a close working relationship with the School administration.
We are affiliated with the South Australian Canine Association Inc, (trading as Dogs SA), the local member body of the Australian National Kennel Council Inc, (trading as Dogs Australia).
Our primary function from the beginning was to help members of our community to train their dogs to be well behaved members of society. This still applies today, although over the almost 50 years since we have added a number of other strings to our bow.
Initially our affiliation with SACA allowed us to hold Obedience Trials where our members and those from other clubs from all over the Metropolitan and Country areas of the State would come together and compete against each other in the various classes on offer.
As other disciplines of dog training and competition have evolved we have included them in our training regime and out trialling program. We now offer training in Obedience, Rally, Agility, Scent Work and Tricks and hold trials in all of those disciplines as well as in Sprint Dog.
We are a relatively small club which enables us to hold classes with reasonable numbers to best be able to help our members in their endeavours.
Please see elsewhere on our website for details of training times. We hope to see you and your dog(s) in the near future.
